Prof. (Dr.) Veena Hada, Dean and Professor, Journalism & Mass Communication works at ZEE HIMGIRI University, Dehradun,Journalism and Mass Communication. She is an Academician in Media Education, having 20+ years of experience in the academic & Media industry government & private organizations, skilled in delivering motivational talk, managing digital media effectively, and contributing to economic development activities of educational institutions. She is specialized in the field of entrepreneurship related skills building and women empowerment.
She did her post-graduation in Mass Communication from Kurukshetra University, Haryana, and MBA in HRM from SHUATS, Allahabad. She pursued her doctor (Ph.D.) of Mass Communication & Journalism from SJJT University, Rajasthan. Her topic for doctoral research was “Impact of New media on Economic Empowerment of women in India-A case study of women Entrepreneurs in Noida, District Gautam Buddh Nagar, (Uttar Pradesh)”.
She has been engaged in the media industry for the last 20 years, offers a fine blend of the media, PRO, administration, marketing, and branding and education sector. Starting from DoorDarshan National & Regional Channels, She has served E-TV and worked as “Visual Content Officer " at IGNCA, The Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, under the Ministry of Culture. She has been one of the pioneers in research, academic pursuit, and dissemination in the field of the media and arts. She has also worked as Director at Sadhna Academy for Media Studies, leading News Channel network, JIMS NOIDA (Jagannath Institute of Management Sciences) and IIHS Indirapuram College as HoD and worked as Creative Head at SJJT University. She has contributed in the field of Research by writing Articles in different National & International journals and also presented research papers in various seminars and conferences organised by different organizations.
